Angel M.

One of Angel’s favorite things to do is work on the computer. You can often find him there creating digital art. He likes to create graphic faces by combining shapes, bold colors and strong lines. The mouths and eyes are an important focal point in his faces. Sometimes he combines pieces of clipart into his artwork. Monsters inspire him and some of his faces are scary and funny. Angel wants people to feel happy when they look at his work. He creates the shapes and lines in Paint and then adds color in Illustrator. When Angel first started creating faces, he used only solid colors and black lines. Now he combines colorful gradients with solid colors as well. He also creates houses and vehicles in this style. Angel also enjoys doing collage work in Photoshop, mixing photography with his digital artwork.

When Angel is not on the computer, you may find him painting. He enjoys flag designs and many of his paintings are flags he creates from his imagination while others are abstract designs. He uses tape to create different shapes and designs which he then fills in with solid colors of acrylic paint.

Angel was 1 of 3 selected to participate in the WAE Center’s “Advancing the Artist” workshop series where artists learn to create the tools to promote themselves such as websites, resumes, portfolios, social media and more.

I try to always be happy. I am happy working in the Art Studio. I feel happy when I work on my art and other people are happy with my art. I am happy when my art is on display for others to see.
