June 27, 2017 Today, we celebrated the completion of our Instruments Sculpture Class! For the past 2 months, we have been designing, building, and decorating our own musical instruments, fabricated from found objects. Our facilitator, Dean, pulled from his own expertise as a musician and member of the eclectic, local band The Defending Champions to accomplish this workshop. He led the group in some fantastic music making today, where all the instruments were utilized. Instruments made included drums, guitars, castanets, shakers, flutes, and more.
