HIYAS S. is a painter who uses her imagination to create her imagery. “I paint nature, fantasy characters, sea life, and unsettling environments. Art allows me to explore my moods. I paint my feelings of sadness, happiness, and anger. Those feelings influence the colors that I choose in my work. I use watercolors, oil paints and acrylics, markers, color pencils, and crayons.”

Hiyas also participates in our WAE to Sell class, a program that invites WAE center artists to learn how to sell their products online on the Redbubble platform.
