YAEL K. primarily likes to work with acrylic paint on canvas using various painting tools. “What I like most is mixing colors and I make up some of my own. Sometimes I like to try new things, other times I like to work with what I know.” Yael has a radiant smile. She gives the impression of being a more careful, detailed kind of painter but when seeing her work, she is quite bold as she digs into the paint with gusto. She loads up her palette with generous amounts of various colors and equally loads her tools with as much paint as they can hold. With deliberate movements, she mixes colors right on her canvas, resulting in colorful, lively and textured work.

“I’d like people to look at my work with interest”, says Yael. She has started to exhibit her work in several local galleries and works in other mediums as well such as photography and perler beads.

Some of Yael’s other interests are traveling and cooking.
