Mark L.

MARK L. likes to work with many art mediums; mostly acrylic on canvas, occasionally watercolors or drawing with markers and crayons.  Mark has said, “Sometimes I try different materials to work with, but I come back to my preferred ones”.  He adds, “I like to draw because it gets into the details”. Any chance he gets, he will spend time on his colorful, detailed drawings of houses and sheds. Sometimes he includes people in the drawings. Like in his paintings, his wonderful sense of color becomes so apparent with his beautiful gradients and color transitions.

Mark started to paint in 2005. “I like creating with colors, and the experience of making things”, he says.  Mark’s favorite subject matter includes houses, people and sunlight. He works on a painting layer upon layer for several years a layer at a time. These days the size of Mark’s paintings tends to be small. In the past he chose to work on larger size canvases.

Mark takes great pride in the fact that he has sold some of his paintings. Mark says, “I hope my paintings make people feel hopeful, delighted and content.”  Mark cares a great deal about the people in his life; he is a true believer in “Life is Good”. Mark always has an uplifting word to say to anyone.

Mark has a number of other hobbies and interests. Among them; playing chess, checkers and card games, dates with nice girls, reading and creative writing.
