August 23, 2017 It is always a pleasure to visit with our friend Mansa Mussa and to celebrate his artwork. Currently, he is featured in the West Orange Arts Council exhibit “iPadology/ABstract ImPRESSions”. The iPad is utilized to create artwork from a series of still life and portraits with the Photo Booth application on the iPad home page. The images are then edited using a variety of apps and printed on photo paper with a digital printer. Mansa was prepared for our coming and had 5 stations set up; each of the members had their own iPads and took turns taking pictures of the various setups and applying the various techniques through the apps. By the end of the workshop, all members were able to successfully create abstract images similar to the ones we observed in the exhibit.
