“Confluence – Tradition in Contemporary Art” at the George Segal Gallery

We had a nice visit with our friend Adam at the George Segal Gallery, who took us through the “Confluence – Tradition in Contemporary Art” exhibition. This exhibition features work by more than 30 artists and designers who broadly and boldly respond to tradition while creating new and unique expressions. The artists and designers in the exhibit were selected from the faculty and staff of the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in China and the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design at the University of Dundee in Scotland. Exhibited works include paintings, sculptures, prints, drawings, ceramics, jewelry, and videos. The exhibit will travel to China in 2020, inclusive of the work by Montclair State University faculty and staff, and will be shown at the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute’s museum. Exhibit has closed.
